Oral history interview with Sylvia Gurstein who was born in Winnipeg in 1923, who spent her life as a social worker. Sylvia was instrumental in creating L’Chaim Day Care program and is a member of the National Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, the Jewish Community Centre and the Population Health Advisory for Seniors for the Vancouver-Richmond Health Board.

Oral history interview with Soli Jackson who was born in Winnipeg, 1923. His mother was born in Deliatyn, Poland then a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now part of Ukraine. He moved to Vancouver in 1946. His brother Davey served in the Royal Canadian Air force and his brother Alex served in the Winnipeg Light Infantry, while Soli joined the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve in 1943. After having children Soli gradually became more active in Peretz School, where he noticed yearly deceases in contributions by the Jewish Federation to Peretz Schul and advocated against selling Peretz's property if the Jewish Community Federation of Canada had any stake in it for complete lack of supporting Peretz.

Interview with Sheila Romalis. Interviewed by Debby Freiman. Sheila talks about her grandparents' immigration to Canada, her father's business acumen, and her mother's philanthropy. Her family was heavily involved in many Jewish organizations in Vancouver such as Hadassah-WIZO, Israel Bonds, B'nai B'rith Sisterhood, Jewish Family & Child, and Beth Israel.

Oral history interview with Sally Tall who was born in Austria in 1900. Sally was involved in the Hadassah in Montreal and volunteer Jewish General Hospital during WWII.

Oral history interview with Nancy Appleton who was born in Winnipeg in 1914 and her father was involved in the Schara Tzedeck synagogue and Nancy volunteered for 51 years for the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic. Nancy was also the president for a time for the Liberal Ladies Auxillary and Schara Tzedeck's Women’s Auxiliary.

Oral history interview with Morris Saltzman who was born in Winnipeg, 1918. Morris's father brought the family to Vancouver because he was became a successful merchant, eventually owning two grocery stores; 1st in wholesale potato business; second on corner of Nelson and Bute St. Morris was involved in and or speaks of B'nai B'rith, Jewish Community Fund and Council, Zionist Organization, Community Fund and Council, Vancouver Lodge and St. John's Shaughnessy Men's Club.

Oral history interview with Lil Shapiro who came to Vancouver in 1936; her grandparents moved to Winnipeg from Russia in the 1880s. She was involved in B'nai B'rith, Youth Aliyah, Federated Jewish Women, Israel Bonds, and was the first regional president of the Hadassah Council. She discusses her love of singing and describes her experiences as Hatikvah singer. She mentions a number of women she worked with in a variety of Jewish organizations in Vancouver.

Oral history interview with Jessie Anne Allman. Jessie worked for 'Children's Aid Society' and the Hadassah, helping to establish over 20 new chapters in Vancouver and Saskatchewan. Worked with the Jewish Family Service Agency.

Jessie's mother started the 'Quick Help Society' and was a member of the Hadassah.

Interview with Ilana Strummer. Interviewed by Bill Gruenthal. Ilana discusses kibbutzim in Israel and her family's history. She talks about her physiotherapy work in the Israeli army before immigrating to Canada, and her subsequent involvement in the Vancouver Jewish community.
