Eugenia Lawrence

Oral history interview with Eugenia Lawrence who was born in Ukraine, 1902. Emigrated to Canada in 1924. Lived primarily in Red Deer, Alberta, only later in her senior years did she and her husband decide to move to Vancouver. Involved in Pioneer Women and Hadassah.

Hinda Simkin

Oral history interview with Hinda Simkin who was born in Winnipeg, 1937. Hinda was a part of the Girl Guides when she was younger and after moving to Vancouver and joining Beth Israel Synagogue she worked with the Girl Guides. Hinda belongs to the National Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, Volunteer Grand-parents Society and Nat’l Council of Jewish women.

Oral history interview with Irving Grad who talks about his family while he grew up, his 'Uncle' and his parents lives. A cousin of his, Sandy, married Leonard Nimoy. His brother was killed during the Canadian Landings in Sicily in 1943. Irving was active in Beth Israel Men’s Club and Senior’s Advisory Council
