Oral history interview with Lil Shapiro who came to Vancouver in 1936; her grandparents moved to Winnipeg from Russia in the 1880s. She was involved in B'nai B'rith, Youth Aliyah, Federated Jewish Women, Israel Bonds, and was the first regional president of the Hadassah Council. She discusses her love of singing and describes her experiences as Hatikvah singer. She mentions a number of women she worked with in a variety of Jewish organizations in Vancouver.

Oral history interview with Isaac Lipovsky who was born in Russia in 1902 but the family emigrated to Winnipeg in 1905 after Issac's brother was born. Issac's father fought in the Russo-Japanese War, finding work at Red River Sheet Metal Works in Winnipeg, later opening B.C. Ceiling and Roofing Company once the family relocated in 1910. After working through a number of businesses, mainly concession stands and selling candy, started working for Woodward's Department Stores in 1932.

Oral history interview with Ida Albert. Her memories of the Russo/ Japanese war. Ida was involved in the Council of Jewish Women, the Sisterhood, Beth Israel and worked with the Red Cross. She was interned at a Japanese interment camp.

Oral history interview with Gloria (Steinberg) Harris who was born in Vancouver in 1924. Her father served in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905).

An interview with Harold Wodlinger who was born in Manitoba in 1890. He worked as a telegraph operator before joining the Canadian Army in the Artillery Corps and after he left. Harold bought a business in Leask, Saskatchewan from and Englishman and ran it for thirty years, though he also ran a farm in Leask raising cattle. Harold’s daughter Helen was in Vancouver so they decided to move to Vancouver in the 1970's. The interview is an in depth recount of the Wodlinger family history since arriving in Canada in the 1880's.
