Expressing sympathy for "Granny"

1 handwritten note expressing sympathy for the passing of somebody's grandmother. This event is likely related to the invite acknowledgement addressed to Mr. Ed. Mallek from Rabbi David C. Kogen (which can be found at A.2015.009.077, page 5-6) where Mr. Kogen states that he is sorry to hear about the death Mr. Mallek's grandmother. If this is the case, is it possible that Mr. Mallek is the intended addressee of the note, and that it was written sometime in March 1948.
