Series consists of photographs, documents and scrapbooks from Alec Jackson's collection of B'nai B'rith archives.

Administration

Series consists of minutes, agendas, grant applications and information pamphlets, annual reports, budgets, correspondence regarding various administrative matters (such as personnel issues), job descriptions, tax forms, lists of board members, and security incident reports. Bodies represented in this series include the Vancouver B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation Board of Directors, the Hillel Student Board, and the UBC Faculty/Student Planning Committee.

Programming and outreach

Series consists of promotional items (such as buttons and stickers), application forms, order forms, signup sheets, participants lists, mailing lists, telephone lists, directories, rental agreements, receipts and invoices, flyers, pamphlets, booklets, posters, program reports, correspondence, handwritten notes, surveys, licenses, manuals, newsletters, newspaper clippings, articles, timesheets, and programming calendars. The material in this series documents Hillel Vancouver’s programming and outreach activities on UBC campus and in the greater Vancouver area. Programs represented in the series include those run largely or solely by Hillel (such as Israel Week and Holocaust Awareness Week at UBC), those for which Hillel took on a supporting role (such as local Bar and Bat Mitzvahs), and those offered by other organizations (such as essay contests and internships).

Ephemera

Series consists of commemorative items pertaining to Section activities and celebrations, such as guest books, programs, table decorations, coat badges, name cards, and note cards.

Photographs

Series consists of black and white and color paper-based prints and color negatives which document council activities such as the Mobile Hearing Clinic, Golden Age Club, Angels Ball, national and international conferences and local meetings and social activities.

Private Seidelman’s war letters and bereavement

This series contains letters written by Private Edward Joseph Seidelman to his family from July 1916 until his death in October 1917. The letters were written when Private Seidelman was stationed in Camp Hughes, Manitoba; Seaford, Sussex, England; and “Somewhere in France”. The series also contains Private Seidelman’s death certificate and letters from the Canadian and British government to his family after his death. Published material includes a published obituary from the “Daily Province”, Vancouver, British Columbia and a Western Universities Battalion newsletter from Camp Hughes, Manitoba, published October 21, 1916.
