Oral history interview with Sam Heller, who was born in Poland, later moving to England than emigrating to Canada in 1940. Sam's father Horace was one of Poland's top lumber producers, Sam tried to get into the lumber trade on the east coast of Canada but was impeded, therefore moved to Vancouver. Besides Sam's involvement in the Forestry industry, he was involved in the Zionist Association.
Oral history interview with Alfred Evans on Harry Evans, the latter of which who was born in 1878. Harry is one the the founding members of the Schara Tzedeck Synagogue in Vancouver.

Eventually settling in Vancouver, David opened a very successful R&D tax consultation firm and later on became heavily involved with the Jewish Family Services Agency. He also discusses Jewish education in South Africa.

Miriam‘s husband Conrad, grew up in Montreal but was born in England. Miriam works for the Louis Briar Home and was involved in National Council of Jewish Women.

Oral history interview with Leopold - born in England,1903 - and Pearl Levey. Leo and Pearl moved to Trail from Calgary in 1936. Later, during the 1940's, Jewish engineers were employed locally to create of heavy water, as part of Canada's contribution to the Manhattan Project. Leo was involved in B.C. Hospitals' Associate Board, the Red Cross in Trail - awarded Red Cross medal of service for flood relief work, 1948.., the Jewish National Fund and Yom Kippur Appeal. Pearl was deeply involved in Hadassah.
The fonds consists of records from three distinct sources: the Leonard Frank Photos studio, the Frank family , and the Landauer family. The records of Leonard Frank Photos studio constitute those that remained after the closure of the business in 1983. They consist of photographs and textual records. The photographs cover many significant events and developments in British Columbia's history. Their major subject areas include logging, lumbering, mining, shipping, fishing and transportation; the construction of bridges and buildings in the Vancouver area; famous people; aboriginal peoples; and scenic views of mountainous, coastal, and urban areas. The photographs were taken by Leonard Frank and Otto Landauer. The textual records consist of photographic FindingAids, business correspondence, financial records, and historical and reference material. The records of the Frank family consist of the personal papers of Leonard and Bernard Frank. The records of the Landauer family consist of the personal papers of Otto Landauer and members of his family.
Photograph depicts Texada Mines Ltd. Texada Mines Ltd. was located on Texada Island, the largest of the Northern Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia. In 1876, a whaler discovered iron ore on the island and mining began. Texada Mines was open from 1952 to 1977.
