Oral history interview with Hilda Everall who was born in Germany in 1923. Her interview discusses her experiences growing up in Germany, the rise of Nazism, wartime in England and her time in Vancouver where she engaged with the Jewish community such as through joining the National Council of Jewish Women and the Holocaust Education Centre.

Oral history interview with Abe Jampolsky who was born in Lipton like his two brothers. Abe's grandparents were Ukrainians who emigrated to Canada in 1906. Met his wife Ldyia, in Montreal and after having children moved to Vancouver in 1955. Besides running a successful clothing business, Abe participated throughout the Jewish community in Vancouver. He was involved in the B. I. men’s club, the Jewish Community Centre, the Israel Bonds Committee, the Jewish National Fund, Vancouver's Talmud Torah and the Sharey Tefillah congregation. Abe speaks of the changing nature of the business dealing with Chinese clientele in the 80's and 90's when he'd started serving Caucasians as the Asian community had not expanded until the last quarter of the century.

Oral history interview with Mary Tobin who was born in British Columbia, 1936. Her mother, Rose Karkofsky, was born in Poland and her father Marcou Yanovich was born in Romania. Mary attended and than was a registrar of Camp Miriam for 5-6 years. She worked for the Jewish Federation in Montreal and lived there for ten years until her father passed away, moving back to Vancouver. Mary has worked with Canadian Friends of Hebrew University for 15 years.

Oral history interview with Nancy Appleton who was born in Winnipeg in 1914 and her father was involved in the Schara Tzedeck synagogue and Nancy volunteered for 51 years for the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic. Nancy was also the president for a time for the Liberal Ladies Auxillary and Schara Tzedeck's Women’s Auxiliary.

Oral history interview with Sol Kort who was born in Detroit, 1918. He did his Master’s degree in Science Education and Chemistry which he used in various chemical manufacturing jobs. Drafted into army in June of 1941 and found it very exciting. After the army he took Advanced Organics courses at University of Washington, than going to work at Kent Chemical. Later in life he was hired by the University of British Columbia to be program director at Centre for Continuing Education, which became Continuing Studies, Extension Dept. He ran the Great Books Discussion Group and J.C.C. with Search for Meaning series.

Oral history interview with Sarah Ann Ciacci who is known for her volunteer efforts such as in the; Jewish Women International, B’nai Brith Women, Soviet Jewry Action Committee, Jewish Women Against Domestic Violenc, been on Board of Governors of Jewish National Fund for more than 11 years, chaired the Tu-B’shvat campaign for 14 years; has been on Cdn. Jewish Congress board - 1996-2003, representing J.N.F, since 1986 has been involved in Shalom B.C., has been involved at Temple Sholom since 1978.

Oral history interview with Dr. Bluma Tischler, who was born 1924 in Baranowicz, Poland - now Baranavichy in Belarus. Bluma and her husband Issac attended medical school at the University of Odessa, than studied in Munich, Germany. Bulma and Issac wanted to emigrate to the United States but due to their quota's being full they decided to come to Canada.

Oral history interview with Cyril Edel Leonoff who was born in Winnipeg, 1925. First job was building the Royal Alexandra Hotel in Winnipeg. Cyril went into the armed services, specifically the Signal Corps, afterwards taking engineering and marrying Faye in 1949. He started as a engineering assistant at Rivers & Harbours Branch, Public Works in New Westminster. After two years of civil service he took Geo-technical engineering. While focusing on his engineering career, Cyril met the 'Barish' brothers during the nineteen sixties which brought his attention onto Jewish History.

Oral history interview with Jean Miriam Gerber who was born in Pennsylvania in 1940. Jean studied history and moved into Graduate studies in English, where she eventually moved into teaching Jewish history and helping to set up Hillel. Jean wrote for Canadian Jewish Chronicle and joined the Professors for Peace group. Jean speaks of her experiences assimilating into the community and becoming Jewish, having grown up Christian. She also worked for the Jewish Federation and moved onto the Vancouver Health Board in 1995.
