The series consists of the minutes of Temple Sholom's executive board meetings and annual general meetings.

Gravestones

The series contains files on each family name represented in the Jewish section of Mountain View Cemetery. These families are represented by grave markers, gravestones, and monuments, or by records of the purchase of these plots by families. The files include correspondence with surviving family members, family trees, and copies of birth, immigration, marriage, and death certificates for those buried when available.

Textual records

Series contains a variety of textual records from the Nemetz family and Dayson family, including files from Hebrew Free Loan Association, scrapbooks, certificates, newspaper clippings, and ephemera.

Publicity

Series consists of newspaper clippings, press releases, photographs, reports on the public’s perception of Hillel, guides to public relations, articles, newsletters, flyers, pamphlets, and posters (as well as original designs, layouts and drafts). Hillel Vancouver’s various activities, events, and programs are documented. Publications represented in this series include Hillel Highlights and Jewish Western Bulletin.

Morris' letters to Rose

Series consists of love letters written from Morris to Rose during 1921. Also includes discussion of Morris' law practice and his work with various Jewish organizations in Vancouver. Morris sometimes addresses his letters to Rosana.

Administration

Series consists of minutes, agendas, grant applications and information pamphlets, annual reports, budgets, correspondence regarding various administrative matters (such as personnel issues), job descriptions, tax forms, lists of board members, and security incident reports. Bodies represented in this series include the Vancouver B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation Board of Directors, the Hillel Student Board, and the UBC Faculty/Student Planning Committee.

Vancouver Welfare Federation records

This series contains records relating to the Vancouver Welfare Federation. Harry Seidelman was the Vancouver Welfare Federation representative in his company, United Milling and Grain Co. Ltd during 1932. The Vancouver Welfare Federation raised money to help those in need. Records include solicitation letters to employees of the United Milling and Grain Co. Ltd, list of pledges from those employees, newspaper clippings about the Vancouver Welfare Federation, reports and minutes from the Vancouver Welfare Federation, and letters from the Vancouver Welfare Federation to its representative at United Milling and Grain Co. Ltd.
