Private Seidelman asks Rachel questions about her university life. He tells Rachel that he engraved his name on many desks in U.B.C. and that she can find his name in other places as well. In the letter, Private Seidelman also indicates his camp mailing address as the following: D Company, 196th. Western Universities Batt. Camp Hughes, Man. In another part of the letter, Private Seidelman mentions that he actually went to Brandon, Manitoba and not Winnipeg for the Jewish holidays, and while in Brandon he stayed with a Jewish family by the name of Kisner. Additionally, Private Seidelman writes that he will be going to Brandon again this coming Thursday till Saturday.

Private Seidelman also writes that it is likely his 196th Western Universities Battalion will disband soon. In another part of the letter, Private Seidelman mentions that he did not end up going to London as suggested in his last letter. Additionally, he gives a description of the town of Seaford and recalls seeing the estate of the Duke of Devonshire, the present Governor-General of Canada.

He also states that cases of measles have broken out in the camp and as a result some men are being quarantined for 16 days. Private Seidelman adds that his battalion is changing into an Officer's Training Corps.
