Oral History interview with Albert Melul. He speaks French, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, English, and some Ladino. He grew up in Tangiers. He was a scout and scout master as a teenager. When Israel was established, he helped move people there but decided to go see the world before settling. When he first came to Canada he worked in a factory in Toronto. He moved to Vancouver for a job with the JCC and National Council. He talks about the Sephardic community as well as the general community in Vancouver.

Oral interview with Cheryl Kalmek. Interviewed by Debby Freiman. Cheryl talks about her family's immigration to South Africa and their involvement in the Jewish community. Cheryl was particularly involved with the Jewish Women's Benevolent Society before immigrating to Vancouver.

Oral interview with David Kaplan. Interviewed by Bill Gruenthal. David talks about his family's involvement with the steel industry and the Jewish Botanical Gardens. Eventually settling in Vancouver, David opened a very successful R&D tax consultation firm and later on became heavily involved with the Jewish Family Services Agency. He also discusses Jewish education in South Africa.

Oral History interview with Doreen Herzstein. She recounts her life growing up in Zimbabwe; the Jewish life and Zionist leaning of the community. She also mentions the strong Hadassah and Union of Jewish Women in Haare. After she was married, she lived in South Africa for a couple of years but left when the Nationalist Party came to power in 1948. They moved back to Zimbabwe and raised their children there. In the 1970’s they told their children to leave Zimbabwe and they followed in 1977. They originally moved to Edmonton, but it was too cold, and they moved to Vancouver. Doreen talks about the welcoming community on the North Shore, hiking, and walking with the Ramblers.

Interview with Freda Sher. Interviewed by Laura Zitron. Freda talks about her family history, and her mother's experiences as an Ochberg Orphan. Freda is involved in Jewish organizations such as Jewish Women International, Hebrew Youth, Jewish Family & Child, and Beth Israel. She compares life and Judaism between South Africa and Canada, and talks about her career, family, and philanthropy.

Oral history interview with John Gort who was born in Breslau, Germany. Escaped Gestapo while in school in Frankfurt in November 1939 due to local police. He went on to study in England but quit and than volunteered for the British Army. He worked in London, England; Northern Rhodesia and Vancouver in medical technician and psychiatric nursing. The interview also discusses John's study of German philosophers.

Oral interview with Alexander "Lexie" Bernstein. Interviewed by Laura Zitron. Lexie talks about his family's contribution to Jewish life and education in Cape Town, and his own life and spirituality in Vancouver.

Interview with Linda Stein. Interviewed by Michelle Mina. Linda discusses her family history and their contribution to the Cape Town Jewish community, including the establishment of synagogues. Upon immigrating to Vancouver as a dental hygienist, she became involved in the local Jewish community.

Interview with Lolita Aaron. Interviewed by Irene Dodeck. Lolita talks about her family's history, her mother's involvement with Zionism, life under the Apartheid, and her career as an early childhood educator. She discusses her family's decision to immigrate to Vancouver, life in the city, and her volunteer work at the hospice.
